The regions include Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (East), Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Orissa, Kolkata, West Bengal and North East. The company will make an investment of $500 million for 3G services. Side by side, Aircel is also planning to expand its 2G network across country. For this, it would invest another $500 million.Reliance, Airtel and Idea are set to launch 3G services by the year end while Vodafone would launch in early 2011. Currently, we have only BSNL and Docomo manipulating the minds of the people in terms of high tariff rates. But, I hope the scenario is soon going to be changed with all the top telecom operators of India providing 3G services.
